Waterfalls

Waterfalls

From small to immense, waterfalls are one of nature’s wonders. I have to admit, I’ve never seen a large waterfall, only short ones as parts of rivers or streams. But the question that always comes to mind is this: Where does all this water come from, especially if the falls flow constantly? I try to mentally swim upstream, to see where the rain falls or the snow melts to continuously feed these rivers and their attendant waterfalls. I think I’ve lived in the desert too long. With so little rain, it’s hard to picture how any river keeps flowing and why waterfalls don’t dry up most of the time.

Here’s a twenty minute video featuring several famous waterfalls. You’ll see footage first of each waterfall, then the name of the waterfall will appear. This is a long video meant to inspire and relax. It features waterfalls of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, USA. The video features different perspectives of Yellowstone waterfalls, sometimes with music, and sometimes showcasing a rainbow. Finally, here’s a fascinating video of bizarre waterfalls, like a fog waterfall in Iceland and an underwater illusion of a waterfall. It’s worth a look just for fun.
