Senegal Africa

Senegal Africa

One of the most stable African nations, Senegal is on the west coast of Africa in a zone between the Sahara and sub-Sahara called the Sahel. This region is mostly semi-arid.

Senegal is a land of rolling hills and tropical climate. Agriculture is an important part of the economy and tourism is increasing. Senegal was a minor departure point for the Atlantic Slave Trade. A mostly Muslim nation, French is the official language though the sixteen million inhabitants speak an incredible 39 unique languages.
