Just for fun, I wanted to do something a little different with this blog. I hope you find it entertaining, maybe even inspiring.

When I found photos of different, beautiful and intriguing pathways, it lit my imagination with this thought: What journey are you on today?

Part of my current journey has been this blog and taking the time each week to explore different aspects of our planet, whether a country, or a cuisine, or an animal, or an element of the plant kingdom. I’ve found it fascinating and I know by many of your comments, you do as well.

When funds or time are limited, sharing our thoughts, watching selected videos and gazing at pictures can be a way of experiencing what we may never get to do. I have been particularly inspired by taking a look at the countries in each of the continents of our planet. I’ve long held a belief that (politics aside) most humans care tremendously about family and friends, that what we each strive for above everything else is to love, encourage and protect those in our care and in our communities. Seeing these elements reflected in any photo always warms my heart.

Another part of my current journey, as many of you know, is my garden. I started landscaping and planting in the spring of 2016, so this is my third year watching my design come to life.

Finally, a big part of my journey is figuring out the current publishing climate. While self-publishing began as an exciting and profitable venture, it has become intensely complicated and extremely competitive. So, I’ve had to educate myself about how to build pages on my website, format photos, run Rafflecopter contests, how to create a Facebook or Amazon ad and a whole host of tasks I never thought I would do. These challenges seem to change year to year so that the majority of my learning in the past few months has been about advertising. Not quite my cup of tea, but in today’s market, it’s the only way to remind my readers that I’m still writing and publishing.

So, how about you? What are you up to? Where has life taken you? What is your current path? I hope you’ll take the time to share.

  1. My current path is trying to finish all the tasks that have piled up over the years so I’ll have time to do more traveling. Getting the house in order will make everyday life more relaxing!

  2. Love the beautiful pictures! I would take any of those pathways since I love hiking. I have made a lot of changes throughout my life so far. Now I am trying to decide on what I want to do with my life now. I went from working in a stressful job to a more relaxing job since moving but not really the job I want. I’m sure I’ll find my trueself when it’s the right time.

  3. I think these may be some of my favorite pictures yet. When my grandson was young he and I used to love to take walks together and he would imagine that we were the first people to ever walk there. It was amazing what he would find and where his imagination could take us.

  4. I don’t really have a path right now. I’m disabled and can’t move around that easily anymore (I am 55, i’ve been this way for ten years). I live my traveling through your blogs and the beautiful pictures and videos you share. I use to love to travel and take long walks. Thank you for your wonderful blogs.

  5. Such gorgeous pictures and loved them all. Right now I’m just trying to get over the death of my husband of 56 years just 4 1/2 months ago. It’s gets a little better every day and my children help so much. Next, will be getting rid of so much clutter in the house – there’s 37 yrs. worth of things to go through. So enjoy getting your posts, takes me to places I’ll never get to personally, but get to see them from your posts. Hope you never stop giving us so much pleasure.

  6. I absolutely am crazy about all these photos. When I was young there were a lot of pathways and roads like these at and around my house. Just looking at each picture relaxed me and I felt cool forest and I felt very peaceful. Thanks!

  7. Hiking has always been my love. It’s so peaceful and beautiful. You forget just how far you’ve gone and how hard it is to stop. Such fun and such beautiful pictures.

  8. Thanks for sharing, Everyone! Part of my childhood was spent in the redwoods of northern California. We had some beautiful paths to follow. I like to think of them as my life’s metaphor, of being on a journey, often surrounded by great beauty like the blue sky and puffy white clouds this morning, while I sat on the patio and listened to the birds. If you have a woodland or forest nearby and can take a walk, take it for all of us today!

  9. My current path is taking intensive care of my beloved cat.
I adopted her when she was two years old from a rescue organization.
Due to being terribly abused she suffers from epilepsy which she rec’s medication twice per day. She suffered a major stroke five years ago which affected her left hind leg.
Three weeks ago another major stroke which affected her right side. I am giving her physical therapy 3-4 times per day, hoping like people she will regain enough use of her hind legs to walk on her own again. I refuse to give up. She turned 18 in January.

  10. My current path is recovering from my 4th back surgery I had 2 weeks ago. I never imagined life would take me down so many different paths, some amazing, some filled with sorrow , I like the woodland photos, the 1st one is a little scary to me going into the darker parts of the road but then farther down the path I’m sure you come to a sunny spot just like life.
