It also has over 400 Buddhist temples. Fourteen million people live in the metropolitan area. A place of culture, art and tremendous contrast, Bangkok is also a significant regional force in finance and business. If you love to shop, Bangkok is a must-visit destination.

  1. It’s a beautiful place, with way more people than I could handle! I barely survive trips to Phoenix! Though, the last picture, my favorite, looks both beautiful and somehow peaceful.

    Casa Grande, AZ

  2. Enjoyed all the colorful pictures. Love the old and new, especially the temples! Wouldn’t mind visiting there. The shopping and food alone would be worth the trip. AZ

  3. WOW! Very colorful!!! Of the two places you have shown pictures of today I think I’d like to see the Kremlin most!!!!!

  4. Beautiful pictures! I like the carved furniture I see from the GI’s that they bought back when they’re assigned to Bangkok, Thailand. Also I saw a show on USAF base that had a group dancing in their costumes so this brought back memories.
